At LeaseStar Social, RealPage Inc. (“we” or “us”), we want to help you make informed decisions about the use of your information online. This privacy policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose personal information through the LeaseStar Social (“LSS”) service which includes our website located at rentmineonline.com (collectively, the “Service”). By using our Service, you consent to the collection and use of personal information in accordance with this policy.

WHAT IS LeaseStar Social?

LeaseStar Social is a service that helps residents of multi-family residence properties earn rewards and other benefits by facilitating a process where residents learn about their property’s referral programs and can easily introduce friends and connections to their properties online. For many years owners and managers of such properties have offered referral fees and programs to encourage residents to refer their friends and share their experiences. LSS takes this process online and creates a simple seamless mechanism for residents to tell their friends about their properties and encourages them to live there too using common social media platforms like Facebook. LSS’s service also leverages the power of social media by helping create reports and actionable insights for property managers and owners about their referral campaign participation and residents’ online comments about their property. Through the Service, property managers and owners can learn how residents found out about their properties and gain insight into social connections between LSS members and other residents who are connected to them.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

“Personal information,”as used in this policy, is information that specifically identifies an individual, such as an individual’s name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, and credit card number. Personal information also includes information about an individual’s activities, such as information about his or her activity through the Service and demographic information, such as date of birth, gender, geographic area, and preferences, when any of this information is linked to personal information that identifies that individual.

Personal information does not include ”aggregate“ information. Aggregate information is information that we collect about a group or category of products, services, or customers that is not personally identifiable or from which individual identities are removed. We may use and disclose aggregate information for any purpose.

COLLECTION OF INFORMATION

Collection of Voluntarily Provided Information

We collect personal information that users provide to us in a variety of ways on the Service. For instance, if you register to become a member we may collect certain personal information about you such as your email address. We may also ask you for permission to access other information about your friends and social connections through services like Facebook. When we ask you to share this information with us, these services may prompt you for your permission to share this information with us. This policy explains the information we receive and is intended to help you understand how we use it. You should keep in mind that information you choose to make public, for example, that anyone using the Internet could see, may be used in ways that you cannot control or limit once you make this information public. The Service only collects personal information from you that you choose to make available to us. If you decide to share information with us about who your friends or social connections may be, you should think about if or whether those connections would prefer that you not share this information with us. You should also think about whether they would object if we or your property manager or owner knew of your connection. Automatic Information Collection

We may automatically collect certain information from you by analyzing your use of the Service, such as your IP address, browser type, pages accessed, and duration of visit. This information does not necessarily enable us to personally identify you. If it does, it is treated as personal information under this policy. Additionally, if we associate or combine this information with personal information, we will treat the associated or combined information as personal information under this policy.

“Cookies” are one means of automatic information collection that we may use.A “cookie” is a small text file containing a string of characters. When you visit the Service, we may send one or more cookies to your browser in order to identify it uniquely. We may use cookies to improve the quality of our Service by tracking user trends, store user preferences, and customize your experience. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies, but you can change your browser settings to cause your browser to refuse cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Most importantly, we use personal information you provide to us and information you provide about your social connections to help you spread the word about where you live and create opportunities to earn rewards when others decide to join you. At the same time, the information about your sharing, such as the fact that you joined LSS and recommended where you live, is valuable to property owners and managers and helps them improve their properties and marketing and reward you for helping them. Other Direct Marketing. We may also use personal information you provide to us about yourself to contact you regarding products, services, events, programs, and offers that we believe you may find of interest. We allow you to opt-out from receiving marketing communications from us as described in the “Choice” section below. Except to help you communicate with your social connections and in connection with preparation of reports and tools for property owners and managers described above, we do not otherwise use contact details and related information you provide to us when you join LSS.

DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We are not in the business of selling personal information about our users to third parties. Virtually all LSS members learn about the Service from emails sent on behalf of their property manager or owner who have shared this information with us so that we can assist them with their property marketing efforts.

Referral Accounting, Reports, and Analysis. If you choose to use our Service to tell a friend about the Service and related programs, we may ask you for your friend’s email address or access to information that will enable you to contact that friend or social connection. We will automatically help you communicate with your social connections about the Service through the mechanisms you choose. You may choose to communicate with your connections about the Service by email, Facebook, or other social media services. We rely on the fact that you have authorization to share with us any information you provide. We do NOT share who you chose to communicate with through the Service, but in providing reports to property managers and owners in connection with their marketing campaigns, we may share the fact that a social relationship appears to exist between you as an LSS member and another resident.

Service Providers. We do use third-party service providers and may disclose personal information to them as they assist us in our work. We limit the personal information provided to these service providers to information that is reasonably necessary for them to perform their functions.

Legal Requirements and Protection. We may also disclose personal information if we believe that doing so is legally required or is in our interest to protect our property or other legal rights (including, but not limited to, enforcement of our agreements), or the rights or property of others.

Merger, Sale, or Reorganization of LSS. In addition, information about our users, including personal information, may be disclosed as part of any merger, acquisition, debt financing, or sale of company assets, as well as in the event of an insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership in which personal information could be transferred to third parties as one of our business assets.

PROFILE DATA AND OTHER PERSONAL INFORMATION
AVAILABLE TO OTHER USERS OF THE SERVICE AND THE PUBLIC

Some features of the Service may allow you to post personal information and make it available to other users of the Service or the public. For example, if you provide a description of a property, product, or service, or post a rating or review regarding a property, products, or service, that information will be made available to people who view your message. For example, if you post in your newsfeed on Facebook about where you live, and you have your privacy settings set to public, any visitor looking you up on Facebook may view your post and learn information including where you live. If you include personal information in any postings through the Service, and make personal information available through the Service, you do so at your sole risk. We cannot control the actions of other users with whom you may choose to share personal information, whether you share it through the Service or by other means (such as email or telephone). Additionally, even after information posted through the Service is removed, caching and archiving services may have saved that information, and other users or third parties may have copied or stored the information. We cannot, and do not, warrant or guarantee that any personal information that you provide on and in connection with the Service will not be accessed, viewed, or used by unauthorized persons.

CHOICE, ACCESS, AND REMOVAL OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

If you receive commercial email from us, you may unsubscribe at any time by following the instructions contained within the email. You may also opt-out from receiving commercial email from us by sending us an email or by writing to us at the address given at the end of this policy.

Additionally, if you do not wish to be notified by telephone or postal mail regarding products, services, events, programs, and offers that we believe you may find of interest, you may opt-out from such communications by sending us an email or by writing to us at the address given at the end of this policy.

We will also make reasonable efforts to remove the information of any individual who requests that we not have or maintain personal information about them. So, for example, if a friend or social connection has shared your contact details with us or other information about you with LSS, and you write to us, we will make reasonable efforts to delete or remove this information from the Service including future reporting to our customers. Keep in mind however that this may take some time to do and it may interfere with or make impossible yours or your connection’s abilities to obtain or share in any rewards through the Service.

LINKS

For your convenience, the Service may contain links to other websites, products, or services that we do not own or operate. If you choose to visit or use any third-party products or services (e.g., Facebook), please be aware that this policy will not apply to your activities or any information you disclose while interacting with third parties.

CHILDREN

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. By providing personal information to us through our Service, you represent that you are 13 years of age or older.

INTERNATIONAL VISITORS

Our Service is hosted in the United States and is generally intended for United States and Canadian visitors. If you visit from the European Union or other regions with laws governing data collection and use that may differ from U.S. law, please be aware that you are transferring personal information to the United States. The United States does not have the same data protection laws as the EU and some other regions. By providing personal information to us, you consent to the transfer of it to the United States and the use of it in accordance with this policy.
